Message If you want random strangers to help you with your car, you need to do some work before hand to make their job as easy as possible.

I realize we are in a "gotta-have-it-now" world where everyone wants instant answers, but posts like this where the OP has not even bothered to get a close look just clutter up the place.

For future reference with troubleshooting mechanical issues:

1. Get the best view of the problem that you can. Jack the car up/remove what you can. With issues like you are experiencing, it will be most likely be obvious. Take pictures.

2. If you still can't discern the problem search the internet forum. Not just one or two searches, but spend an hour or so looking around, trying different terms, different phrasing, different descriptions. Try searching for the symptoms, try searching for potential fixes and reading about the symptoms to see if they match, and then think about how people might phrase it differently and try that. Search this website, search 300zxclub, search google. 99% of the time you will be able to find your problem, and a fix.

3. If that is still fruitless make a post. That is what this website is for. Do your best to create a thoughtful post. Describe your problem in a clear concise manner. Don't type it on a cell phone. Use a little bit of punctuation and grammar. Describe the car/condition/mileage/engine/related maintenance or issues. Describe the environment when the incident happened (speed, rpm, ambient temp, engine temp). Describe what you have seen when you investigated under the hood (post pics). Describe what you have ruled out as being the problem and how you got to that conclusion. Describe possible ideas you got from searching.

Now, back to your problem. From your description it could be a blown hose, a blown rack, and bad crush washer, a loose banjo bolt, a missing banjo bolt, a loose hose clamp, a blown power steering pump, etc, etc.

My bet is its a bad high pressure hose like you suggested. However its near impossible for anyone to give you a good guess without more information.
